At stc Metro Station, Hungarian projection artist László Zsolt Bordos and French drone choreographer Christophe Berthonneau merge architecture, drone choreography, and mapping into a single living performance. Synthesis (2025), curated by Richard Castelli, transforms the façade into a kinetic field where geometry emerges and recombines with every surge of illumination. The building seems to levitate, as if lights are holding the weight of concrete, transforming the venue into a large-scale light sculpture, intangible and solid at once. In the sky above, programmed drones extend the movement outward, turning air into a canvas. A light ballet unfolds as real and virtual lights intertwine, constantly reshaping perception. This act of transformation evokes an invisible principle that reveals form and meaning, turning substance into idea. In this dialogue between art and engineering, Riyadh’s skyline reveals its own capacity for choreography. The soundscape is designed by Czech composer Ondřej Skala.
