French choreographers Nicole and Norbert Corsino merge dance, architecture, and digital calligraphy. In Calligraphic Body (2014), motion-captured figures glide along Riyadh’s Al Daho pathway, their movements traced in strokes of light that echo the fluid forms of Arabic script. The work transforms public space into choreography, as the city itself becomes a stage. Human silhouettes drift through projections, translating gesture into language.
It is both performance and writing, poetry drawn in the air. The Corsinos invite reflection on presence: how movement leaves marks, not of permanence but of passage. Light, body, and stone converge in a shared rhythm, forming a fleeting conversation between memory and motion. The body becomes a pen of light, inscribing the city not with permanent marks, but with the eloquent and vanishing poetry of a moving, breathing script.
