Saeed Gamhawi transitioned from a long career in education to become a full-time conceptual artist. Founding the Raseef Studio in Riyadh, his practice investigates the deep cultural, religious, and social structures of his society. Initially exploring sealism and surrealism, he evolved towards conceptual visual art that uses simple forms to reveal complex underlying meanings. His work often addresses the necessity of change by highlighting social realities, sometimes distorted or ordinary. Gamhawi has exhibited extensively, including at the Louvre Museum, Noor Riyadh, and Misk Art Week. His installation, Veins of Life, reflects his immersive approach, transforming space into a vibrant network that symbolizes the intricate relationship between water and existence, akin to a living organism.
