Obaid Alsafi (b. 1991) is a Saudi artist whose practice in new media, video, and data-generated installations is deeply informed by his background in computer science. From data to microorganisms, he investigates the impact of the unseen on the visible world and collective memory. A systematic creator, Alsafi uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and software to visualize these invisible systems, creating precise works that bridge the computational and physical realms. An Ithra Art Prize winner and 2024 Sigg Prize finalist, he has also participated in the AlUla Arts Festival.
