Troppo Fiso!, 2025

Traumnovelle is a collective of architects, artists, and designers who conceive creativity as the ability to develop experiences grounded in historical architecture and aesthetic elements—in this case, sound, light, and human presence. Troppo Fiso! (2025) is a large-scale installation, conceived site-specifically for the courtyard of a historical mud palace, where a sound piece orchestrates a narrative of light through seven chapters. Originally created as a performance in which a vinyl DJ crew played for several hours, providing input for seven “scenes” of light movements, this iteration of Troppo Fiso! uses the recording of an original musical piece for exclusive listening in Riyadh, paired with the synesthetic programming of a light narrative. Spectators are initially immersed in lights seemingly random in appearance. As the music intensifies, the lights build to a crescendo, allowing visitors to experience a peak moment where sound and light inhabit the totality of the space.
