Chinese artist Zhang Zengzeng bridges collective creativity and childhood imagination. In The Light to Home (2025), drawings made by children in Riyadh and China are converted into three-dimensional light sculptures suspended overhead. These glowing forms create an immersive canopy of shared dreams, where every line and curve carries the unfiltered poetry of a child’s vision. Each form glows softly from within, casting delicate reflections on the surrounding surfaces.
The installation evokes both innocence and belonging; every illuminated shape represents a shared act of creation between artist and community. Zhang Zengzeng’s work embodies the power of play—how imagination builds connection and how light can translate intimacy across generations. The result is a floating constellation of hope, memory, and luminous collaboration, gently reminding us that the purest forms of art often begin not in the studio but in the spontaneous, unguarded joy of a child’s heart.
