Sublimation is a philosophical monument carved from Royal Gold granite, engaging with the eternal questions: “Where do people come from, how do they live, and where are they going?” The sculpture creates a visual metaphor for the spiral nature of history and human evolution. It incorporates the five classical elements—earth, fire, water, wind, and sky—arranged in a spiraling circular composition. This form suggests that while humanity suffers, it sublimates and rises through the recognition of universal truths. The spiral represents the dynamic interaction between humans and their environment, a process that builds civilizations. By using the durability of granite to capture this ethereal concept, the work anchors the fleeting nature of life in a permanent structure. It is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit, suggesting that our collective destiny is one of continuous elevation and refinement within the cosmos.
