Sky Mirror, Blue

Sky Mirror, Blue (2016) is a concave stainless-steel sculpture that captures and inverts the surrounding landscape through a blue reflective surface. Developed after Anish Kapoor’s void sculptures, it creates a sense of interior space within its curved plane, where reflection becomes the primary visual field. Installed within a landscaped area of Al Kindi Plaza in the Diplomatic Quarter of Riyadh, near a small water feature and traditional-style buildings with rendered facades and stone finishes, the work highlights the contrast between its polished surface and the textured architecture and planting that surround it
