Seven Axes (2025) draws on the philosophy of center-pivot irrigation, which reshapes the relationship between humanity and landscape. Seen from above, these systems appear as green pupils across the desert, carrying life within the open field. They mark a social turning point, from farming in nature to settling in urban spaces. At the heart of this shift lies the circle, a continuous loop of sowing and harvest, drought and fertility.
The interactive work maps seven states that shape a person and a city. Each circle marks a phase of transformation. The seven states represented include: presence; reflection, which reveals the self; perception, when transformation becomes awareness; connection, which opens channels between person and city; integration, as boundaries soften; dissolution, as a state of fullness; and finally, absence, where the image vanishes to be reborn in the blink of an eye. Every movement or approach reshapes the work, just as the city reshapes itself each day between presence and absence.
