New Dimensions: Riyadh edition, 2025

New Dimensions: Riyadh Edition (2025) is a large-scale interactive installation created using images and sounds collected in various cities around the world. A continuation of the artist’s decade-long research project, it investigates how bodies experience their city and how images of urban environments influence human behavior. Spectators physically control the installation through a complex sculptural device that enables human-machine interaction.
By touching the device, visitors can freely move through an abstract 3D urban environment that integrates visual and sonic elements, including streets and landmarks. Impactful, large-scale cityscapes are transformed into abstract images streamed on a large LED screen. Visitors can shift their perspective and move quickly or slowly, feeling as if they are part of the environment they are immersed in, thanks to the installation’s enveloping soundscape, which collects and blends urban sounds from around the world.
