Wafa Hamad Alqunibit is a Saudi artist with an MFA in Sculpture from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She has participated in numerous exhibitions and served as a juror for various competitions. Her artistic practice is deeply shaped by land art and minimalism, working primarily with earth-extracted materials like minerals and rocks. These materials allow her to create bridges between organic forms and contemporary expression, revealing the symbolic power of the ground. Her themes explore the connection between the creator and the surrounding world, focusing on transformation, grounding, and the tension between permanence and change. Alqunibit believes art is a universal language capable of expanding cultural awareness. Her mission is to integrate art into the public realm, creating sculptures that reflect the Kingdom’s identity while engaging in a dialogue with nature and the viewer.
