Aldo Rinaldi

Aldo Rinaldi is a British curator and producer specializing in the commissioning of artworks across a wide range of settings. His practice is defined by an experimental approach to working beyond traditional gallery and museum spaces, with a particular interest in the intersection of art, architecture, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

His commissioned projects include Free Tank by Roger Hiorns, the artist’s first permanent artwork in the United Kingdom; Seeds of Change: A Floating Ballast Seed Garden by Maria Thereza Alves; 65,000 Photographs, a large-scale sculpture by Idris Khan OBE for One Blackfriars; The Modernist Glade by architect Takeshi Hayatsu and artist Tue Greenfort; and the award-winning Peveril Gardens, developed with artist Gabriel Kuri, horticulturist Nigel Dunnett, and Sanchez Benton architects.

Rinaldi also developed Deep Time, a major commissions program for the Lake District coast, featuring new works by Ryan Gander, Yelena Popova, Martin Boyce, and Susan Philipsz. The program also included proposals involving Olafur Eliasson and Robert Macfarlane, Rachel Whiteread, Roger Hiorns with Tom Emerson, and Piet Oudolf with a multidisciplinary team of collaborators.
